The closing of Red Loyola was a big blow to me. It seems that Sophia didn't want to continue to be in the server industry and opted to sell the company. A large corporation, something Alex always hated, purchased us. I don't know much about them, honestly.
I'll be the first to admit that after Alex's disappearance, the company just wasn't the same. Many of our support people started to just not show up for work after the first week he was gone. I never found out why this was the case; most of them never returned my phone calls. I ran into one of them in the grocery store and they wouldn't even look at me. They excused themselves and hurried away when I tried to talk to them.
So, the company is dead. Sophia never told me why she wanted to sell instead of trying to get the company back on track. All of Alex's work is now the property of someone else. It's a sad thing really.
I've moved on with my life, or have at least attempted to. I'm currently living off of the money I gained from the sale of the company. I tried contacting Stephanie the other day to see how her and Meren are doing. They seem okay. Stephanie isn't taking the death of Alex too well. I should go see her sometime soon.
Hopefully life will get better.
